Stephanie & David Long
Founders

Common Room founders Stephanie and David have dedicated themselves to supporting children and young adults with Autism. They have raised over $25 million for autism-related initiatives and played a key role in supporting Aspire, a Mass General program that specializes in helping children, teens and adults on the autism spectrum achieve success.

David is the former CEO of Liberty Mutual Group and currently serves as Executive Chairman of its Board of Directors. Stephanie has extensive experience working with young people in a private school setting, having served as a house parent, in development and event planning, and as an archivist for nearly a decade.

Tom Harrington
Clerk

Tom is a municipal law attorney and partner at Miyares and Harrington LLP, serving as Town Counsel for Wellesley, Littleton, Norfolk, Carlisle, and Templeton. He has previously served in elected positions in Wellesley and on the board of Roxbury Community College’s Center for Environmental Education.

Ann Marie Gross
Board of Trustees

Ann Marie, a former financial services executive with 25 years of experience, has served on multiple boards including AANE and the Wellesley Council on Aging. She actively supports autism initiatives and lives in Wellesley with her family.

Advisory Board

Michael Cauley
Advisor

Michael, a clinical psychologist with 40+ years of experience, specializes in supporting individuals with autism and developing effective youth-focused interventions. He has had clinical appointments at Massachusetts General Hospital, Judge Baker Guidance Center and Children’s Hospital. 

Carol Stern
Advisor

Carol is an experienced educator and special education administrator with over 35 years experience in the field of special education and program development. Previously, she was a founding member of one of the first charter schools in Massachusetts, a school which received national recognition for its success in closing the achievement gap. Through her work at Educational Collaborative she provided programs for children with special learning needs.
